![]() Who knows maybe the games might go on sale by the time I decided to get the rest of them. well, those bundles are now even cheaper for me. Whichever one I end up liking more I'll get that trilogy down the line. From what I gathered from you and other information online, I decided I would get Ayesha and Sophie. The post-apoc setting and the gorgeous character artwork (by Hidari) would be the main appeal of Dusk I suppose, as I haven't seen anyone praise the gameplay. Escha & Logy has very lax time limits, while Shallie has none. ![]() Ayesha apparently has a somewhat strict time limit, on par with the Arland games. I haven't played Dusk yet, but it's clearly the least popular arc. Sophie 1 can be dull, but I personally really enjoyed the character interactions and the multiple cauldron system. Originally posted by iriyap:Lydie & Suelle and Sophie 2 are very similar to Lulua mechanics wise (Lulua is essentially a reskin of L&S while Sophie 2 builds on L&S's mechanics), so you're very likely to enjoy them. 90% of character events are also only available in the second half. It requires a lot of commitment, and only truly opens up in the second half (past the credits roll) when you get access to vehicles, underwater exploration, fast travel etc. It's my favorite Atelier game overall, but it's hard to recommend it to newcomers. The 2nd title in the series ''Atelier Escha & Logy'' is now available as a deluxe version. The Dusk series, a trilogy of RPG titles from Gusts popular Atelier series, tells the story of a world on the verge ruin, told from the perspective of its unique characters. ![]() It is a very slow paced game however.įiris is likely the most polarizing game in the series, being open world with vague goals and a (generous) time limit for the first half of the game. The promise is entrusted to two alchemists. The Atelier Dusk Trilogy will launch for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on January 14. Fans won’t even have to buy the trilogy as a set, since Koei Tecmo will also be selling the games individually alongside the Trilogy Deluxe Pack. According to Koei Tecmo, each game: Atelier Ayesha: The Alchemist of Dusk DX Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky DX, and Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea DX have been remastered to take advantage of current generation hardware and deliver a smoother gameplay experience.Īdditionally, each title will apparently be coming with a fair portion of the DLC extras released for the originals, including extra boss monsters and party members. As of January 14, all three games from the trilogy will be available for fans to enjoy. The Atelier Dusk Trilogy now has an official release date thanks to a recent announcement from Studio Gust and Koei Tecmo.
